Currently listening to (and sometimes reading) The Odyssey by Homer and translated by Robert Fagles for the first time.

I’m looking at purchasing an e-reader because I often have those moments of 10-15 mins of downtime and it would be nice to have the option of pulling out a small e-reader and reading a few pages of a book or article or something like that instead of scrolling on twitter. I also like reading in bed but it can be clunky with a big book especially if A is sleeping I don’t like having the light on or being too noisy. I think i’m going to go with the Boox Poke4 Lite. The other option was the recently popularised Xteink x4 which I do like for its small form factor and buttons but the lack of backlight or wide options for different text formats makes me prefer the older Poke4. This is also probably influenced by the fact that shipping the Xteink would probably take weeks and I found the Poke4 on facebook marketplace so unless the seller doesn’t respond to my offer, that’s the one ill be going with.

Currently reducing my job hours to give me more time to work on my own projects as well as for Uni work.

I came across a video that really helped put a lot of my heath concerns into perspective and also gave me a great set of tools and anecdotes that I have already begun putting into place. The video is titled: How I Cured My SIBO “IBS” (+Gastritis, Duodenitis, NAFLD, & POTS) w/ Brain Fog and it details this guys journey over 5+ years of getting his major health complications to being thrown around by doctors and finally taking artichoke and ginger and after a short period being fully cured of any SIBO and gut issues. Many of the symptoms he spoke of were things that I have certainly felt to different degrees and specificity but I could tell there was something here for me. He also spoke of the wonders of taking a vitamin B1 supplement which is a vitamin that I already think very highly of. I would recommend anyone with potential SIBO or related issues to watch his video as even if you have something different he does a great job of showing that while these problems are complex and very challenging to live with; they are soluble like any other and can be worked with and sometimes the answer is simpler then it may initially seem.

I have purchased artichoke extract and I take fresh ginger and I will update with my progress.

I also did some blood work recently which I will share some of below for my own future reference and for the interest of others. There is still a few more labs to come but this is the majority. It is all fairly normal which was disappointing in some ways because it meant that I don’t have much to take action on and they likely aren’t the cause of my troubles.
